A Poem a Day #3

Happy 3rd Day of National Poetry Month!

Here's my silly little ditty of the day:

FIRST STAR
by Elaine Magliaro

I saw the first star out last night.
It shone for me—a star so bright.
I shut my eyes and made a wish.
Now my brother is a fish!

I laughed out loud with this one. Kids (and adults) will totally appreciate this one!

HipWriterMama,

I'm glad you got a laugh. "First Star" is a poem I wrote many years ago. Fortunately, I have a stash of old moldering poems that need some tweaking--so working on poems to post this month is a great form of writing exercise for me.
