Here’s a poem Pat sent me to post for Neighbor’s Day.
Neighbor’s Day, May 20
Small Talk in the Neighborhood
by J. Patrick Lewis
I said, “Hello, how do you do?”
He said, “Oh, pretty good, and you?”
He said, “Well, how about this rain?”
I said, “The weather’s been a pain.”
I said, “And when it rains, it pours.”
He said, “We’ll have to get the oars.”
There wasn’t any more to say—
We said the same thing yesterday.

Pat,
ReplyDeleteGee! There's nothing I appreciate more than a "swashbuckler of a bow"--except for a poem sent to me by you to post at my blog!
A deep-knee curtsey to you, oh prolific bard of the children's realm!
Yes, I think Pat must not sleep!
ReplyDeleteYou have really great taste on catch article titles, even when you are not interested in this topic you push to read it
