It's been one of the THOSE weeks--taxes, a computer crisis, and gray, rainy days. What's a poetry lover to do to perk up herself up? I decided to write an acrostic poem about April. It's just a little quickie of a poem--but it got my mind off of the other stuff for a little while!
April Acrostic
by Elaine Magliaro
And now, spring settles in,
Pitches her green tent.
Robins return, fruit trees burst
Into bloom, and the sun
Lays her warm yellow hands over the earth.
I would like to use your April acrostic poem with students at our school. May I have permission?
