I'm taking some time before school today to visit with poetry before all the busy-ness begins. What a wonderful place to linger....in these words by various poets capturing the end of summer as best they can. Thank you!Linda Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00833034575304594924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373615867496327293.post-61005453718163556802016-08-27T09:09:43.339-04:002016-08-27T09:09:43.339-04:00Great collection. Some are excited, some lamenting, but you're right, time for school!Linda Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14983144542632353870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373615867496327293.post-25325550959783259322016-08-26T14:49:07.946-04:002016-08-26T14:49:07.946-04:00You're going to make me cry with all those lam...You're going to make me cry with all those laments. A dirge to end summer by, masquerading as light and cheery. I especially like the yellow pencils with their hats, but I long for them to do pointillism, to doodle, draw and dart toward daylight. To fly like swallows and jump like frogs. To feel every feeling, whether or not it belongs. I don't have to make sense. It's not school time yet. :-)Brenda at FriendlyFairyTaleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13368709489341876324noreply@blogger.com
